The holiday season can be a slow time for many business owners. Unless you own Wal-Mart or Macy’s, you’re likely going to see things start slowing down for your business over the next couple of months. Don’t worry, though! This can be avoided with some tips and tricks that I am here to share with you.
Stay Active on Social Media
I know, it’s a busy time of year. However, if you can keep your business active and engaged on social media, it will be beneficial when you are looking to share information about discounts, deals and important business items. Keeping active on social media is not very time consuming, but is incredibly worth any time it does take.
Keeping your social media accounts active and up-to-date with any holiday deals or discounts you are running is the perfect way to increase your business’ revenue and productivity through the, otherwise, slow part of the year.
Decorate for the Holidays
This sounds silly, but it’s not! During the holidays, people love to go out and see decorations reminding them that it’s the most wonderful time of the year! You don’t need to deck your storefront or office out completely, but putting up a few cheerful decorations should do the trick. Making people feel like your place of business is a cheerful and happy place to be will make them more likely to want to drop in. If you don’t have a storefront where customers can come physically visit you, then at least add a little holiday cheer to your social media pages!
Keep Your Customers Posted
Another great way to keep your customers in-the-know, besides social media, is through direct communication. If you have email addresses or phone numbers for your customers, use them! Send them a message wishing them a happy holiday season, and remind them of anything you have going on that will spark their interest. For example, if you are running a current special or promotion that you’d like your customers to know about, make sure to tell them directly! They will feel the love when you reach out to wish them happy holidays, and everyone loves getting in on a great deal.
