It seems most businesses have tried their luck at some sort of business Expo or Trade Show, only to get nothing out of it other than a bunch of business cards that lead to dead-ends. This article will highlight some pointers that will turn any ordinary business Expo into a lead generation extravaganza!
Come Prepared:
Show up with anything and everything that will give your business quality exposure. For example posters, monitors, candy, give-aways, to name a few. Remember people love raffles, give-aways and free things… give-aways are also a great way to instantly break down barriers.
Be Proactive:
Make most of your time. Stand up and engage with people. Let others know and feel your passion for why you are there. This also means, if you have a great conversation with someone write down some memorable points from your conversation once they’ve left so you don’t forget who they are.
Follow up:
After the event or business Expo, be diligent in following up with the leads you gained. This means creating a specific course of action to maximize your potential. This might be calling these leads, creating email and text campaigns, connecting on LinkedIn and social media, or scheduling a personalized lunch meeting.
