Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and it’s time for business owners to get engaged! Engaging with your customers is something that all businesses should make a top priority.

Customer engagement is a year-round effort that businesses should always be focusing on. Holidays, even simple ones like Valentine’s Day, can actually be very beneficial in making customer engagement even easier on you. As a business owner, you’re always thinking of creative ideas for marketing and we’re here with some Valentine’s Day specific customer engagement ideas to help you out:

Send a Customer Appreciation Email

Who doesn’t love being told how much they’re appreciated? Put together an email letting your loyal customers know how much you appreciate their business and value them as a customer. Your email doesn’t need to be long or time-consuming for you. Just put together a list of the reasons you love your customers, and turn it into an email that can be sent out to them this Valentine’s Day. Every business values their customers, because without them there would be no business at all. However, not every business tells their customers how valued they are. Go the extra mile and make sure your loyal customers know how important they are to your business!

Offer a Holiday Discount

Everyone loves a good discount, and a holiday is a perfect excuse to send out an offer that will bring your customers back through your door. Very frequently, consumers have in the back of their mind that they need to schedule maintenance to their vehicle, or an HVAC tune-up, but they don’t make it a priority. Receiving an email or text message with an offer for a discounted price could be just the nudge they need to book with your business again!

Valentine’s Day, specifically, is a great way to tell your customers you love them in the form of a special price just for your loyal fans. Send out a message letting them know that you appreciate their business so much, you want to offer 5% off their next carpet cleaning or that you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day by showing love to your customers in the form of $10 off an oil change.

Share on Social a List of Reasons You Love Your Customers

Never neglect your business’ social media pages! Your customers will be looking there for information about your business, often before looking anywhere else. There are over 200 active users on social media platforms, so it’s a great starting point for engaging with your customers. Why not compile a quick list of the reasons you love your customers and share it with them on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter? Your followers will appreciate the love and curious consumers who haven’t yet used your business will be impressed with your thoughtfulness!

Your customer interactions should always be creative, personalized and meaningful. As with any other relationship, consumers aren’t likely to continue working with your business if there is no connection between purchases. Use this time of year to focus on why you value your customers, and let them know how you feel.
