Social media is so valuable, but can often be overwhelming. However, it’s an important part of making your business grow and succeed online. There are billions of active users on social media each day, and you want to make sure your business is getting a piece of the pie.
When you utilize social media, you are not only ensuring that your business is reaching more potential customers than before, but it’s also free advertising. You don’t need to spend any money creating and updating Facebook, Google+, Instagram or Twitter pages, but they will show up online when your industry is searched for in your area– it’s perfect!
How can you make sure you have mastered the art of social media?
Create Pages & Keep them Relevant
The first step to mastering social media, is creating your presence on social media. Create social pages for your business, and create as many as possible. Keep your social media pages updated and relevant by ensuring your pictures, hours, address and phone number are always correct. If you have an employee working for you who utilizes social media in their personal life, they may be a great asset to helping you create and optimize the perfect page that any social media user would want to see.
Post Regularly
You don’t need to post everyday, but posting weekly will help when it comes to keeping your page relevant. You don’t need to post anything fancy, but give updates about your business and industry, and post about any specials or deals you might be running. Share Your Pages with Your Customers
Don’t be shy about your social media pages! Make sure you give links when sending out engaging emails or text messages to your customers. Print the links to your pages and encourage customers to follow you whenever you complete a service for them, or they enter your business. The more followers you have, the better, so don’t be afraid to make sure your customers get every opportunity to follow you.
