FreshLime was founded by Jay Bean, a high tech entrepreneur notable for his previous endeavours, including founding ah-ha.com (acquired by Marchex in 2003) and OrangeSoda.com (acquired by Deluxe Corp in 2012).
A quick look at their website reveals that FreshLime’s focus is squarely on small and medium businesses that heavily require appointments. For example, FreshLime’s platform includes an app that allows customers to schedule appointments with businesses 24/7. The app also allows for business owners to manage their schedules, control their marketing campaigns, and contact their customers with their mobile phones.
“Most tech companies servicing small and medium businesses in today’s market focus too much on lead gen that has little effect on a company’s bottom line — and, in many cases, has a negative impact,” Bean said. “FreshLime’s platform combines high-quality customer leads with a professional marketing suite that builds relationships leading to customer loyalty, while empowering the home service providers to focus on the work about which they are passionate.”
FreshLime is launching in Salt Lake City and Phoenix before a planned nationwide launch in 2015.
