In today’s mobile-centric world, it’s more important than ever to be texting with your customers. That’s how people communicate in 2022. For a long time FreshLime’s Customer Interaction Platform has given business owners a way to make it easy for their customers to reach out to them through inbound messaging and get a response via text. This has helped local businesses all over the country close a lot more deals and gain customer loyalty. But we couldn’t stop there.

Now you can outbound text with a prospect/customer that hasn’t messaged you before!

Here’s how it works:

As always upon logging in to the mobile app, you’ll be brought straight to the Message Center. For those customers logging in for the first time or who have not had a conversation previously, you’ll be greeted by a new screen with instructions for how to send your first message. Type a name or a number to get started or search your phone’s contacts to add your first new contact.

For those of you who have already had a conversation in Message Center, you’ll see a blue “compose” icon in the bottom right corner of the three Message Center tabs. When you click on this icon, you’ll be brought to the screen that allows you to search from recent conversations as well as contacts from your phone or who have had conversations with you. If you select a recent conversation, you’ll be brought right to the conversation view where you can write and send your text message.

If you select a contact you haven’t previously had a conversation with or select “add contact,” you’ll be brought to a screen where you can either add or adjust the contact details. The only required field is a number, but we recommend also adding at least a name. Click “next” to write and send your message.

We also have a few other features debuting in this release: clickable links and images from Google Business Message conversations or other images sent as a link. Now, you have the ability to follow a link right from the Message Center as well as see and expand images sent through Google’s Business Messages.
