The effects of the coronavirus outbreak on many small businesses have been catastrophic. Because of the social distancing orders and the need to keep people safe, businesses across the world have had to shut their doors indefinitely. While things may look bleak for many businesses right now, there is some good news. The Small Business Association is doing everything they can to support the small businesses that keep our country going. The SBA has announced that they are offering Economic Injury Disaster Loans to help businesses with operating costs to pull through this time.
The Economic Injury Disaster Loans are meant to provide help with many business expenses, including:
- Paying toward Debts
- Covering Payroll
- Accounts Payable
- Other Expenses that are Threatening Businesses due to the Pandemic
SBA Utah District Director Marla Trollan said, “SBA’s disaster loans will provide crucial economic assistance to Utah’s small businesses in order to combat the temporary loss of revenue they may now be experiencing.”
The SBA is providing small businesses with up to $2 million in assistance in order to keep businesses afloat and help to get the economy back on track.
If you run a Utah-based small business that has been negatively impacted by the current COVID-19 pandemic, you could be eligible for relief and assistance from the SBA. In order to get in contact with them, you can call toll-free 1-800-659-2955.
