Coming up with posts for your social media pages can be time consuming and tiring. Don’t let yourself get too caught up in trying to always come up with content that is taking a long time to write (however, sometimes that’s a good thing). Instead, let the news do the talking for you! If you hear about some big local, national or media news that people are talking about, get involved! Write a quick post about it on your social media pages, and share the link so others can be in-the-know. This gets people noticing your page and interacting with it as well. You don’t want to make this a habit, after all, you’re not a gossip-columnist. However, every so often a little pre-written content to get people talking never hurts!

If there’s something in the news about your industry: local or national, share it! Use it to your benefit to boost sales. If you are a tree trimmer, and you see something about a tree being blown on to someone’s house, that’s your perfect opportunity to share the story and let people know how they can avoid that happening to them. If you are a pest control company and you see a news article about someone getting sick from pesticides, use it to sell your product! Let people know that you use safe, harmless pesticides and you’re their best bet.
